Ibiza Guide
Enjoy the beautiful beaches by renting a boat in Ibiza
There is no perfect day charter day on a boat, without fixing an anchorage at some world class beaches, plus lunch at some wonderful and stylish beach bars and restaurants and perhaps, a relaxing dip or two! The following list is not exhaustive, but contains some of the most popular beaches and restaurants to visit on your day charter in Ibiza. Remember that we can book you a table at the restaurant of your choice, just let us know when the day charter will take place.
Es Cavallet
- Distance from the Port of Ibiza: 15 minutes by motorboat.
- Size: 1.1 kilometres long by 30 metres wide.
- Activities: Volleyball net.
- Facilities: Sun loungers / umbrellas for hire, beach tent.
- Beach bars / Restaurants: El Chiringuito, La Escollera, Chiringay.
The fabulous beach of Es Cavallet is a stop on the way to or from Formentera on the day of your Ibiza boat charter. Anchor in the turquoise water, but be careful not to venture too close to shore with larger boats or yachts, there are a number of dangerous reefs coming from about 150 metres out to sea. These rocks make it very difficult to anchor on the beach itself, it is advisable to approach with a small dinghy. So, if you want to enjoy the white sand and beach bars on this beach, you can also do so by taking a short swim to the shore.
The beach is officially nudist and is situated in the very centre of the beach, with sand dunes where most nudists are to be found.
At the northern end of the beach there are a couple of great restaurants, El Chiringuito and La Escollera, both known for attracting the rich and famous. The other end of the beach is home to a thriving gay scene centred around the famous Chiringay. Beyond the gay beach, the sand turns to rocks that stretch out towards Formentera. You can see the iconic Es Cavallet tower, originally used to guard the channel between Ibiza and Formentera.
Suggestions
The beach is wide open to this summer's prevailing winds (Levante), and is constantly buffeted with the wakes of boats coming and going from Formentera. This combination can make it a bumpy place to anchor your charter boat. In fact, when the Levante blows hard, this is a popular spot for adrenaline junkies to practice the extreme sport of kitesurfing.

Es Cavallet has 3 excellent restaurants to choose from on the day of your boat charter in Ibiza.

Take a seat and make yourself at home, because that’s the way we want you to feel here at La Escollera.
It has been 20 years since our Yaya – the Catalan word for grandmother – started cooking her famous paellas in this piece of paradise, in the middle of the nature reserve of Ses Salines, with wonderful views of the island of Formentera, the beach of Es Cavallet and the Mediterranean Sea. We have attracted people from all over the world, but especially the locals.
With local food always of high quality, fresh and whenever possible grown on the island, our menu aims to please. We serve authentic Spanish and Mediterranean influenced cuisine including seafood, meat cuts and a good selection for vegetarians. For the more modern palate, dishes such as Thai style chicken or Californian sushi. Our specialities are Paella, Gallo de San Pedro served with Ibicencan style potatoes and Boquerones Mami, all made with love from our original family recipes.
Well, this was just an introduction. Now it’s time for you to come experience Ibiza’s best restaurant by yourself, either by sailing the sea with a rented boat in ibiza or by vehicle.

It is the southernmost beach of Ibiza and the closest point to the island of Es Palmador and Formentera. The exquisite Salinas beach is part of a nature reserve that stretches across these two small islands.
Arriving at Salinas by charter boat you'll see the long, white, sandy beach for a kilometre and a half with beach bars and house/funky music. Sail your boat hire in Ibiza the turquoise waters stretching some 500 metres from the beach, drop anchor in the clear water and jump in for a well-deserved swim.
The prevailing winds blow in summer from the east (Levante) and the bay is generally calm. With plenty of space, no rocks or hazards in the water, Salinas is a very easy bay to navigate by boat and a very popular stop for daycharters.

Platges de Comte, popularly known as Cala Conta, is undoubtedly a unique place and one of the best beaches in Ibiza, for many, one of the best in the world...
Cala Conta is actually a group of coves, linked by beautiful and natural viewpoints. With a wild air, rocky areas and sandy areas. Ibiza at its best. It is located in the municipality of San José (Sant Josep de Sa Talaia), to the west of the island of Ibiza.
The combination of some factors such as its seabed, white sand, rock, posidonia, the light of Ibiza, the cleanliness of its waters and being open to the sea, cause that explosion of blue tones difficult to describe in words. And that the lucky ones who enjoy it will hardly forget...
From the coast you can see the islands of Es Bosc, Sa Conillera, Ses Bledes and S'Espartar, making the views from the coast even more incredible, and therefore, from our terrace of the Ses Roques restaurant.
And for those who still want more, the sunsets are marvellous and it is easily accessible if you have rented a boat in Ibiza...
Anyone who hasn't visited Cala Conta hasn't visited Ibiza!

After a long day relaxing on board your chartered boat in Ibiza, head to Sunset Ashram for the evening.
The last lost paradise of Ibiza. A miracle that we can enjoy a nature so full of nature. Everything they tell you about Sunset Ashram is too little, you have to come and see it to believe it.
Believe in the nature that you represent, what you feel at sunset, a fusion of your inner nature with that of your surroundings. That moment when you don’t know why but you stop thinking.
This is the message of Sunset Ashram, to feel and give the intellect a holiday for a while. Feel free, fear kills and courage heals.
